Sulu State College proudly hosted the AACCUP Level II Accreditation and Preliminary Survey Visit 2025, reaffirming its commitment to providing quality education and continuous institutional improvement under the leadership of Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, College President on November 3–6, 2025 at Board Room, Administration Building & Online Platforms.
The event commenced on November 3, 2025, at the Board Room, Administration Building, with Opening Remarks from Assoc. Prof. Delfina A. Ampung, DPA, Head of Accreditation. This was followed by Words of Wisdom from Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, College President.
Assoc. Prof. Adawia Jamasali introduced the distinguished AACCUP accreditors, while Dr. Reynaldo T. Gelido, AACCUP Overall Coordinator, delivered the Statement of Purpose emphasizing the goal of continuous quality assurance. Mr. Moh. Kaizer Hashim, representing the Quality Management Office, introduced the SSC administrative officials, followed by the Introduction of Program Task Forces led by respective College Heads.
The AACCUP Level II and Preliminary Survey Visits were conducted both onsite and online, covering programs from various colleges of Sulu State College. The evaluation included a thorough review, validation, and assessment of all areas in instruction, research, extension, and institutional support.
The 2nd Survey Visit was conducted for the following programs:
• Doctor of Public Administration (DPA)
Dr. Jinamarlyn Doctor (EARIST) – Team Member (Online)
Prof. Digna De Guzman (BPSU) – Team Member (Online)
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS)

• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT)
Dr. Christine Lourrine Tablatin (PangSU) – Team Member (Onsite)

Dr. Eutoquio Pernis (PIT) – Team Member (Online)
Dr. Teresita B. Bayaron (RMCI) – Team Member (Online)
Meanwhile, the Preliminary Survey Visit was conducted for:
• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Animal Science

• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management
Dr. Julito V. Mandac (JHCSC) – Team Member (Onsite)
• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd)
Prof. Bernadette S. Binyao (BukSU) – Team Member (Online)
Additionally, the Preliminary and 2nd Visit for Area VII (Library) for the programs BSCS, BSIT, BS in Agriculture, and DPA was conducted by Dr. Benhur A. Asid.
The accreditation activities concluded with a Closing Meeting, featuring General Impressions from the AACCUP accreditors who commended the College for its strong collaboration, improved documentation, and dedication to academic excellence.
In response, Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, delivered a heartfelt Pledge of Commitment, emphasizing SSC’s continuous efforts to uphold its vision and mission through sustained quality assurance initiatives.
Plaques and tokens of appreciation were presented to the AACCUP accreditors and SSC task force members in recognition of their hard work and invaluable contributions. The ceremony concluded with Closing Remarks from Prof. Nelson U. Julhamid, Vice President of Sulu State College.
