
The SSC School of Nursing marked another milestone with the official launch of its Nursing Skills Simulator Laboratory, enhancing its commitment to quality healthcare education and training.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was spearheaded by Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, College President, alongside officials from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), namely Engr. Janeny B. Domingsil, Dr. Joe-an G. Cuaresma, Dr. Clarissa C. Alvarez, Dr. Vincent A. Regalado, and Mr. Conrad Fruibel A. Quilab.
The program was facilitated by the School of Nursing, led by Dr. Alijandrina Jalilul, Dean of the School of Nursing. During the visit, CHED officials explored the different simulators and facilities installed through the project.
The initiative was made possible under the Commission on Higher Education – Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (CHED-IDIG) 2024, through the project titled “Nursing Skills Simulator.” The project includes:
• 1 Unit High-Fidelity Maternal Fetal Birthing Simulator
• 1 Unit Anatomy Viewer & Dissector
• 1 Unit Female Catheterization Training Model, Limbs & Tights
The CHED-IDIG Project 2024 “Nursing Skills Simulator” was delivered to the School of Nursing through Fund 164 (CHED Grants 2024), with a contract price of ₱17,988,000.00 supplied by Aspen Multi-System Corporation on July 25, 2025, followed by training sessions conducted on August 18–19, 2025.
This advanced Nursing Skills Simulator Laboratory will significantly strengthen the practical training of nursing students, providing them with modern tools and immersive experiences to develop competence, confidence, and readiness for real-world healthcare settings.
