The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), through the Unified Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST), held its Awarding Ceremony for CHED-UniFAST Scholars on September 12, 2025 at the Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City.

The event was made more significant with the presence of His Excellency, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., who graced the ceremony and underscored the government’s commitment to making higher education accessible to every Filipino learner.

Also present was Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, Chairperson of the Commission on Higher Education, whose participation further emphasized CHED’s unwavering support for student scholars and the continued advancement of higher education in the Philippines.

This momentous occasion celebrated the achievements of deserving student scholars while reaffirming the nation’s dedication to empowering the youth through quality education.

Sulu State College, headed by its President, Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, proudly joined fellow leaders of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in honoring the scholars and strengthening the mission of inclusive and sustainable higher education in the country.
