
Sulu State College, represented by the SSC Minsupala-Innovative Research and Development Consortium (IRDC) Focal Person, Asst. Prof. Adawia J. Jamasali, Ed.D., attends the Minsupala-IRDC Status Updates, Quarter Reporting, and Trainings on September 10-11, 2025, at Palacio del Sur, Marcian Garden Hotels Inc., Zamboanga City. The highlight of the event was for the members to present the project status updates and quarter reports. In addition, training was held to further enhance the membersโ skills in writing and conducting research.
The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) IX Regional Director Mark Louie C. Martin and the Minsupala-IRDC Consortium Lead and Chancellor of Mindanao State University-Maguindanao Bai Hejira M. Limbona graced the formal gathering. Dir. Martin extended his message of support to the consortium while Lead Consortium Limbona warmly welcomed the participants. The Minsupala-IRDC is the brainchild of DBM Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman.
Simultaneously, after the opening program in the morning of Sept. 10, 2025, were the Status Updates and Quarter Reporting, Training on Data Analysis, and Training on Effective IEC Strategy. In the afternoon, Orientation for the new members took place and it was headed by the Minsupala-IRDC Project Coordinator and MSU-Maguindanao Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension, Dr. Raquel D. Santiago-Arenas. The next day, the following sessions were held: Science Communication: Its Importance and Current Challenges, Models of Science Communication, Principles of Effective Science Communication, Tips for Clear and Effective Writing, and a Workshop.
Together with Sulu State College, other Minsupala-IRDC members are Adiong Memorial State College, Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology, Cotabato State University, Mindanao State University-General Santos, Mindanao State University-Maguindanao, South Cotabato State College, Sultan Kudarat State University, University of Southern Mindanao-Kabacan, University of Southern Mindanao-Kidapawan, Basilan State College, Mindanao State University-Buug Campus, Mindanao State University-Sulu, Mindanao State University-TCTO, and Tawi-Tawi Regional Agricultural College.
