Sulu State College officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Construction of a 4-Storey Academic Building (Phase 1) on August 4, 2025. The project is funded through the GAA – Capital Outlay 2025, with a contract price of ₱22,974,783.27 and a project duration of 320 calendar days. The construction will be undertaken by CLA Construction Incorporated.

Present during the ceremony was Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, College President, who delivered the opening remarks. Also in attendance were college officials, deans, faculty, staff of Sulu State College, and CLA Construction Incorporated, represented by Mr. Aldhaizem K. Aiyu and Site Engineer Halid J. Usman.

The new building is intended to provide additional space for faculty and students, supporting the institution’s growing academic needs.
