
Sulu State College, in partnership with the Civil Service Commission (CSC), conducted an orientation on the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM). The activity aimed to strengthen the college’s human resource systems in line with CSC’s standards.
The event opened with a message from College President Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, followed by a special message from CSC Field Director for Sulu and Basilan, Dir. Gil D. Caburnay.
Key sessions focused on the evidence requirements for PRIME-HRM Maturity Level 2, with in-depth discussions on documentation and packaging of necessary compliance materials. These were led by Ms. Charina G. Gonzales, Chief Human Resource Specialist, and Mr. Karl Dominic B. Buot, Detailed COS Worker, both from the CSC Policies and Systems Evaluation Division.
The program included an open forum to address questions and provide further guidance. Closing remarks were delivered by Prof. Nelson U. Julhamid, while Ms. Adawia Jamasali served as the event emcee.
The orientation was actively participated in by college officials and staff, reflecting the institution’s commitment to improving its HR systems through collaboration and capacity building.
