
The Sulu State College School of Nursing successfully held its 6th Cap, Badge, and Candlelight Ceremony for Batch KRENOVIANTZ with the theme “Emerging with Strength: Transformative and Resilient Nurses today, September 28, 2024, at the SSC Gymnasium, Walled City, Jolo, Sulu.
The ceremony began with a processional featuring the batch candidates, faculty members, the administrative council, and special guests. Ruhel-Ayyam Arani, RN, MAN, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for the day’s celebration.
Assoc. Prof. Alijandrina T. Jalilul, dean of the School of Nursing, presented the candidates, who were then officially accepted by Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, signaling their readiness for the nursing profession. Omar K. Addam led the candidates in the traditional Nightingale’s Pledge, affirming their commitment to the values of nursing.
The keynote speaker, Prof. Mila Delia M. Llianes from the University of Santo Tomas and the Graduate School Technical Evaluator, provided insights on the transformative role of nurses today. She was introduced by Assoc. Prof. Aine-Rizzi Abduhadi, RN, MAN.
A presentation of plaques and tokens of appreciation followed, led by Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, and assisted by Prof. Nelson U. Julhamid, VP of the college. The event concluded with closing remarks from Arleen-Riza Lay, RN.
This ceremony is a celebration to the strength, dedication, and resilience of future nurses who are prepared to face the challenges of the healthcare profession.
