
The Sulu State College School of Criminal Justice Education (SCJE), in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection – Jolo Fire Station, successfully held the Field Training Exercise (FTX) Culmination Ceremony with the theme “Forged in Discipline, Driven by Service: Strengthening Criminology Interns through Field Training and Fire Readiness” on November 6, 2025, at the Sulu State College Grounds.
The program began with an Opening Remarks delivered by Mr. Hafiiz Azeem H. Abduraup, RCrim, Internship Coordinator of SCJE, followed by a Message of Support from Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, College President, represented by Prof. Nelson U. Julhamid, Vice President.
One of the highlights of the event was the Demonstration Proper, where Criminology interns, under the guidance of BFP–Jolo personnel, showcased various simulation exercises that demonstrated their skills and readiness in responding to emergency and fire-related situations.
Following the successful demonstrations, Mr. Algebran P. Arasid, Chief Intern, delivered his Testimonial Message, expressing gratitude and reflection on their training journey. Certificates of recognition and completion were then awarded to the interns in acknowledgment of their dedication and performance.
An inspirational message was delivered by FSINSP Jayson T. Ahijon, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of BFP–Sulu, who congratulated the criminology interns for the successful completion of their field training and encouraged them to uphold the values of service, discipline, and integrity in their future careers.
The ceremony concluded with a Closing Remarks from Mr. Al-Fauzi Ibno, RCrim, Dean of the School of Criminal Justice Education, who expressed his appreciation to all partners, facilitators, and interns for their active participation and commitment to excellence.
