
Sulu State College (SSC) actively participated in the Regional Roll-Out of the Unified College Admission Form (UCAF) held on May 8–9, 2025, at the Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City. The event, organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) under the “Paglaum Kag Pagdaug” initiative, aimed to promote accessible, streamlined, and inclusive college admission processes across State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).
Ms. Fhadzra Aisha Sabdani, Guidance In-Charge of Sulu State College, represented the institution during the two-day activity. She was given the opportunity to present the current admission system of SSC and engage in a critical discussion of the proposed UCAF policies and mechanisms.
The program featured presentations of the proposed UCAF framework, live system demonstrations, and simulation activities for user registration and data validation. Ms. Sabdani, along with other SUC representatives, was able to scrutinize the technical and administrative components of the new system and offer institutional feedback.
Key officials present included Dir. Rody P. Garcia of CHEDRO-XII and Dir. Mary Sylvette T. Gunigundo of CHED-OPKRM, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in transforming the higher education admission landscape.
Sulu State College expressed its commitment to supporting CHED’s initiative and contributing to a unified, efficient, and student-centered admission process nationwide.
