
As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth, Sulu State College (SSC), through its College of Teacher Education and Gender and Development (GAD) Office, conducted a benchmarking visit to Cebu Technological University (CTU). The visit aimed to strengthen academic collaboration and promote institutional development through the exchange of best practices and strategic initiatives.
Led by Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, College President, the SSC delegation was warmly received by CTU officials headed by University President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito. Joining Prof. Ututalum were Narcisa H. Mohammadhashim, Chief of Staff – Office of the President; Maribel Sarabi, Dean – College of Teacher Education; Prof. Anang Fatma Tagayan; Rasmil Abdurasul; Ma. Luz Carlos; Shiramie Juhudi; and Andramaida Sadjail, GAD Focal Person.
The comprehensive discussions focused on strategic approaches to enhancing quality education, research and development, research center establishment, program accreditation processes, industry linkages, and international rankings. Further dialogues covered the development of an internship manual to enrich student practicum experiences, curriculum review and alignment for teacher education programs, refinement of retention policies, enhancement of review programs to improve licensure outcomes, and the evaluation of existing Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) with the Department of Education for optimized partnerships.
