
Stalwart Night Marks the Closing of SSC’s 43rd Founding Anniversary Celebration
Sulu State College culminated its 3rd Founding Anniversary with a formal and heartfelt closing ceremony titled “Stalwart Night” on April 14, 2025, held at the SSC Gymnasium.
The evening served as a fitting tribute to the College’s enduring legacy, honoring distinguished alumni and dedicated personnel who have contributed significantly to its growth and success.
The program opened with an inspiring message from Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, College President, who expressed her deep appreciation for the unwavering support of the SSC community, partners, and alumni over the years.
A message from Atty. Hussin U. Amin, President of the SSC Alumni Association, followed, reinforcing the critical role of alumni in supporting the institution’s continuing mission to uplift education and service in the province.
A highlight of the evening was the Awarding of Plaques to the Most Outstanding Alumni, recognizing the exemplary achievements and leadership of selected SSC graduates in their respective fields.
The program was further enriched by the words of honor and encouragement from prominent figures, including Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, SSC President, Dr. Nagder J. Abdurahman, Chancellor of Mindanao State University–Sulu, Engr. Ajan S. Ajijul, District Engineer, Province of Sulu, Atty. Jose Iribani Lorena, MP, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Human Settlement and Development
An intermission number by added a celebratory flair to the night, showcasing the talents within the SSC community.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt closing message from Dr. Ayesha Rema Tan, who emphasized the importance of collective dedication and forward-looking vision as SSC moves ahead.
“Stalwart Night” not only served as a moment of recognition and reflection but also as a symbol of unity, pride, and commitment values that continue to guide Sulu State College in its pursuit of academic excellence and community transformation.
