
Sulu State College (SSC) and the Sulu Ulama Council for Peace and Development (SUCPD), Inc. have officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
Sulu State College (SSC) and the Sulu Ulama Council for Peace and Development (SUCPD) have officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement to collaborate on a Ramadhan Islamic symposium in 2025. The signing ceremony was held at the Chanel Room, SSC Administration Building.
Present at the event were SSC President Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, and Prof. Nelson U. Julhamid, along with SUCPD officials Sheikh Abdulmuhaimin J. Abubakar, Sheikh Sharif Jul-Asiri, and Sheikh Jailani. The agreement aims to provide a platform for discussing the correct teachings of Islam, addressing misconceptions, and fostering a deeper understanding of the religion.
It seeks to share accurate information on Islamic beliefs and practices, promote awareness, and encourage religious tolerance and unity within the community.
The symposium is scheduled to run every weekend throughout the month of Ramadhan 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN, this initiative underscores SSC’s dedication to education and community engagement beyond the classroom.
Through this partnership, SSC and SUCPD aim to strengthen peace, knowledge, and solidarity, demonstrating the power of collaboration in promoting meaningful discourse and learning.
