The SSC Laboratory High School has started a campus improvement project by removing tree roots in front of its academic building. This will make the area more accessible and easier to maintain. The cleared space will be cemented to create a safe and even walkway for students, staff, and visitors.
A covered pathway will also be built, connecting the main gate to the principal’s office. This will provide safety and convenience, especially during bad weather, and improve the overall function and appearance of the school grounds.
This project supports Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by building better and more resilient facilities. It also reflects the Core Values of Solidarity, Professionalism, Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence (SPICE) of Sulu State College and aligns with its Strategic Initiative 4, which focuses on student-centered campus improvements.
We sincerely thank Prof. Charisma S. Ututalum, CESE, College President, for her full support, as well as Engr. Hajan Ajijul of the Ministry of Public Works and Highways, USF Construction, and College Engineer Abdulrani M. Sahirani for their help in making this project possible.
